The infrastructure of valuable natural areas in Moldova sometimes lacks even basic information elements for tourists and visitors.
As part of the project, Arnika supported local activities in the Tsipova and Iagorlik reserves, which ensured professional design, production, and installation of panels to inform visitors that they are in a protected area and what the basic rules of behavior are.
A specific contribution was made by a local group around the Baltata River. The existing river name signs on bridges didn’t reflect the real situation there, and even the locals themselves didn’t know exactly by which river they live. Local activists decided to remedy this situation, made the correct signs, and took care of the installation.
