Ecoaction held a photocontest “Postcard from the village” and is delighted to invite you on December 22nd to the exhibition of included pictures and the awarding ceremony. The goal of the contest was to popularize the sustainable practices of the agricultural production – small farming, environmentally friendly technologies, and to reveal the real contemporary life in the village.
The contestants were asked to submit their photos and stories in two thematic categories: 1) “In the shadow of the agro-giants” and 2) “Life of the small farm”. In total, about 200 photos were sent to the competition, most of which focused on the positive parts of rural life.
The jury included professional photographers Majda Slamova (Czech Republic), Nils Ackerman (Switzerland-Ukraine) and Konstantin Chernichkin.
The winners will during the award ceremony receive cash rewards, memorable souvenirs and certificates for study at the “Green School”. Participation in the award will be taken by environmentalists, experts and representatives of NGOs. Participants of the event will also be able to meet the exhibition of the winners of the competition.
