The experts from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague are taking samples in Alaverdi and Akhtala communities to fund out more about the chemical pollution in the areas under the impact of mining and metallurgical enterprises. Particularly, this research aims to reveal the cause-and-reason bond between human health and the environment.
On July 22, a working group of people from the “Center for Community Mobilization and Support,” “EcoLur,” and Czech “Arnika” NGOs ,together with experts from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, visited Sanahin and Engels neighborhoods in the Alaverdi community and Aqori residential area. Here, they took samples of soil from the personal plots, vegetables, fruit, greens, as well as biosamples.
