Green Watch – meeting Belarusian activists

Green Watch – meeting Belarusian activists

Green Line and Green Watch. These are two new "institutions" created in Belarus by a Minsk based NGO Ecohome in cooperation with Arnika. While operators of the Green Line advise on various environmental issues from their office, members of the Green Watch act directly in the field, monitoring nature damaging, illegal landfills or unauthorized buildings, and squirming local residents and responsible authorities intom action. During May, we met a number of Green Watch activists and witnessed number of currently dealt cases.
