Chemical contamination of various origin is still widely present around Thailand. The most problematic pollutants are the unintentionally produced ones or a historical reminiscence of Thai agricultural boom in 1950s and 1960s. Many of the substances in question are highly accumulative, some of them even carcinogenic.
