The first patronage over a stream with Arnika support took place in Kadov in June 2012. Children from Kadov summer camp were working on two parts of streams in Kadov and Vrbno village. Self-help revitalisation was performed under the methodical leadership of Arnika. First of all children recognized organisms in the stream using easy to use keys. Then they picked up litter and mowed the grass along the stream. They also built small dams of stone that only extend to one half of the riverbed profile and dug small pools near the stream.
Next year when the summer camp takes place again, children will have a look at how much the stream has changed.
