During June and July, Arnika and Ecoaction organized a series of seminars on industrial air pollution in cities in Eastern Ukraine. Active citizens from Zaporizhia, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, who suffer from an extremely polluted environment, had the opportunity to share their experiences and consult with experts. The debates were devoted to the European directives on air quality and similarities in Ukrainian and European legislation (Olena Miskun, Ekodia), the health aspects of air pollution (Jaroslav Pershehuba, Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education) and the process of issuing permits for industrial emissions (Maxim Soroka, Dnepropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport Named after an Academician V. Lazaryan). Seminars in Kryvyi Rih were also attended by Vyacheslav Potapenko from the Ukrainian Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
