Local volunteers, in collaboration with the administration of the Iagorlik Nature Reserve, planned and carried out tree planting in suitable locations in the Dniester floodplain.
The species composition of the plants corresponded to the natural conditions of the sites: in wetter areas, the planting includes mainly willows and poplars (saplings), supplemented with maples (seedlings). Further away from the river, mainly oaks in the form of sprouted acorns were planted. A total of 4 volunteer days were held, with a total of 70 volunteers planting 150 seedlings and 50 kilograms of acorns (with an assumed success rate of 10%, this would correspond to about 1,250 trees). The program of volunteer days included not only planting but also an afternoon tour of the beautiful nature reserve.
