In this Transcaucasian country, we are working to ensure that people in the regions affected by mining are informed about the risks involved. This year, we have expanded our area of operation to include the new sites of Karaberd and Meghradzor, which are located in the provinces of Lori and Kotayk. Both of these communities are located close to gold deposits. Citizens there need hard and independent data on the impacts of the mines and ore processing operations to demand compliance with their pledges and compensation for damaged health and the environment.
