Ing. Edvard Sequens

He works as an energy consultant and project manager in the field of energy at Calla – Association for Environmental Protection, based in České Budějovice. He has also worked for the government’s Independent Expert Commission for Assessing the Energy Needs of the Czech Republic, as an external advisor to the Minister of the Environment, and for two years in the Climate Protection Section of the Ministry of the Environment. He also has experience in preparing applications for household subsidy support under the “New Green Savings” program. He is a member of the Committee for Sustainable Energy of the Government Council for Sustainable Development. He contributed to the development of an alternative concept for the future of Czech energy, Smart Energy. He works as the secretary of the platform: Against Deep Geological Repository (representing 40 towns and municipalities and 18 associations), and, on behalf of the affected regions, he is a member of the Expert Advisory Panel for the selection of repository sites under the Radioactive Waste Repository Authority. For his tireless work and commitment, he has been nominated several times for the Josef Vavroušek Award. He graduated from the Military Technical College in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia specializing in automated control systems. To recharge, he enjoys wandering in the mountains, attending folk concerts, or reading good science fiction. He is also a cat lover.
