Vsetín – Construction of the smallest incinerator (perhaps) averted

In 2018, representatives of the gas heating plant in Vsetín informed the public about their intention to build a waste incinerator there. In terms of capacity, it would be the smallest incinerator in the Czech Republic. The locals made their disagreement clear from the beginning. In 2019, the company announced that it was withdrawing from the incinerator project. However, the previously started Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has not been stopped and its outcome will still be valid.
