On 17 October 2022, the Belarusian authorities listed the Ecohome NGO Ecohome, the oldest environmental organization in Belarus, as an extremist group. The alleged reasons for this decision are that the organization continues to operate abroad via the internet and its members allegedly carry out extremist activities.
