A lot of material support has been gathered in Arnika’s office these days. Medical kits, power banks, accumulators, sleeping bags, clothes, and many other kinds of help. That is what you – individuals as well as companies’ representatives – have brought there! You have also donated more than half a million crowns to support Ukraine. Thanks to this, we have already been able to ship the first cargo to our Ukrainian partners.
The urgent call for action has been widely shared and listened to by our members, supporters, and friends. We really appreciate that. We continue to stay in touch with our Ukrainian colleagues on a daily basis. Many of them are endangered, which makes us very worried about them. Thanks to you, we can at least relieve the suffering of Ukrainians caused by the Russian aggression. We firmly hope that the war will end soon. Thus, we will be able to carry out our projects in peaceful conditions and continue in our mission – to protect the environment and everybody who wants to share it in peace.
Maksym, our colleague from the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine, would like to join this acknowledgement to all who participated in the call. He is sending these words to you: “These are difficult times for us and you as well. We want to thank the Czech people for not forgetting about us and supporting Ukraine. A friend in need is a friend indeed. The war is going to end one day. And when better times come, we will meet again.”
