The report introduces results of the examination of plastic products on Serbian market, which were tested on the presence of toxic phthalates banned in the EU since July 8th, 2020. Analyzes show that dangerous phthalates were found in 10 out of 36 samples (in concentrations above 0.1%) with the concentrations ranging from 0.16 to 18.15%. It also focuses on companies’ obligation to inform consumers if the products they buy contain substances of very high concern (SVHCs).
