Lenka Kulhar Daňhelová

Poet, prose writer, visual artist, translator, and organizer of cultural events and projects, who was born in 1973 in Krnov. From 2001 to 2005, she worked at Arnika as the head of its Ostrava branch, where she focused primarily on river restoration issues. Among other activities, she led the campaign against the Dam in Nové Heřminovy. She prepared two non-fiction books for publication: "Nové Heřminovy – Neu Ebersdorf" (Arnika, Ostrava 2003) and "How to Live with Floods" (Arnika, Ostrava 2005). She lives with her Slovenian husband Petr in Lochovice in the Beroun region. She is actively involved in animal-assisted therapy (canistherapy) and collaborates with the non-profit organisation Dobromysl, where she works with her female dog Rezi as a canistherapy team.
