The report introduces test results of 17 sample extracts of disposable food packaging and tableware suspected to be contaminated with PFAS for their potency to interfere with the binding of the thyroid hormone thyroxine (T4) to the plasma transport protein transthyretin (TTR) using the FITC-T4 binding bioassay.
